Ever heard about the Aris-label? No need to get desperate if the answer is a blunt "no!". Until only very few years ago, even my own knowledge on this label was minuscule (and has not yet improoved much) and the only owned item was Romitellis "Yeti"-score, released on Aris LM 10. Romour has it (and I stress that it is indeed only a rumour!) that this label was founded by composer Gianni MARCHETTI (I´d love if anybody who knows more about the Aris-label would get in touch with me!!!), but then again, to my (limited) knowledge only one of his scores was released on Aris.

So not very much can be said regarding this label, but there are a few common pattern, which deserve to be pointed out an documented: With the only exception of the aforementioned "Yeti"-score ALL Aris-releases do feature VERY nicely artworked fold-out covers. Again with this aforementioned exception all scores released on Aris were composed for early 70ies Italian love or soft-sex movies! And therefore all of them are nice funky and beaty outings, composed by such masters of their craft as Aldan BEMBO and Claudio TALLINO.

As common in the early 70ies, the covers were manufactured from softer cardboard and were not laminated. The pressing quality on the not-so-heavy vinly is nice, but not as outstanding as for example RCAs. Nevertheless, since only a few tracks from the Aris-catalogue have by now been (incompletely) re-issued by EasyTempo on an Aldan Bembo-twofer-CD (two - incomplete - scores on one CD), I suggest to buy this CD as an appetizer to be able to decide if the shadowly footprints these LPs left on earth should be followed ...
