Aside from the above three rather short-lived soundtrack-series, RCA Italiana also had another library-only soundtrack-"series" plus a couple of releases, which do not belong to any RCA Italiana soundtrack-series. I put the term series between "", because actually these multiple LPs with consecutive numbers are not series in the narrower meaning of the term, but simply 10 LPs released at the same time! "Dimensioni sonore - musiche per l'immagine e l'immaginazione" # 1 to # 10 with the RCA SP-numbers 10036 to 10045 were all issued in the later 70ies (and with the same cover artwork) as part of the 70+ LPs from the RCA SP 10.000-series. These LPs - in contrary to the RCA SP 8000-series - do feature individual tracks from various movies (like compilation LPs) without ANY reference whatsoever to the movie or TV-special or whatever else they were composed for. In this respect this series should best be compared to C.A.M.s same-style Cml-series. However, contrary to the Cml-series, which does feature nice melodic (party easy-listening) stuff, the RCA SP 10.000-series is more "heavy" listening, with many tracks being atonal/unmelodc and reminiscent of minimalistic or experimental music. Still, whereas these LPs were always easily available at rather low cost, they have recently been discovered by completist collectors and have therfore risen quite a bit in value/cost. Nothing a collector really needs for musical survival, but still nice stuff if you can grab one at low cost.

The other LPs I´d like to mention here are jazz LPs by known soundtrack-composers, like the "Controluce"-LP by Trovajoli, which I placed at the end of the OLS-section. Many such LPs do exist, especially by Trovajoli and Fidenco (also a well-known singer then!) and a couple by Umiliani and they certainly are a nice addition to every jazz-oriented soundtrack collection, but they pale in comparison to these composers original compositions, since they "only" contain these composers presentations of (usually) US-jazz-standards. Nice, but nothing really original (even the few own compositions pale in comparion to their soundtrack-work).

Then there are a few nice soundtrack-CDs such as the ULTRA-rare 99%-dialogue-containing LP "Il riotorno di Ringo" with background music by Ennio Morricone and the same-style 2-LP-set (with many additional pages) "20.000 miles under the sea" (a radio-play with background music by the same maestro based on Jules Vernes then utopia-novel). Again, heavy-listening items definitly only of interest for the completist Italo-western-music- and/or Morricone-collector!

In addition to these I decided to show "Bibbia" (also released in Japan and in the US and available on RCA OST CD), "Adolescenza" and "Ciao, Rudy!", of which three the last is definily the best. There are various releases from this comedy-score, of which this music-only release is the rarest, most valuable and at the same time least known one. The one easier to find are the last re-issue (with songs) on RCA OLS (not yet on the site) and the wonderful fold-out representazion, which unfortunately contains not the music-only jazz-score, but the same tracks as the OLS-release (= songs!). By the way, the first and best "Ciao, Rudy!"-release on RCA KVLP is also a fold-out! Of course there were many more such items released by RCA, but due to the lack of a consistent numbering system and no promotional material available anymore (= no catalogues), it is unknown, which other such LPs have been issued over the many, many years from the late 50ies on (info welcomed!).

The production values of all these items depend on when these LPs have been issued and are identical to the ones of the other series from the relevant years (in other words: everything is available from heavy vinyl pressings packaged in strong laminated covers to thinner vinyls in softer not-laminated cardboard-covers plus in-between developments). The only identical feature is the top pressing-quality throughout the years!
