Since the soundtrack-waxings released as part of the PML/LPM-series did not proove very successful on a commercial basis, RCA decided in the later 60ies to launch an own series for all its soundtrack-releases, comparable to this business-policy adopted especiallyby the C.A.M.-label! Their first commercial soundtrack-series was started 1969/70 with "La moglia giapponaise" a jazzy love-score by Nino Oliviero on RCA KOLS 1001. However, this second commercial soundtrack-effort was again not a top commercial success and therefore this series was a short-time effort only producing around a dozen soundtrack-releases in the early 1970ies.

However, production values had improoved from the PML/LPM-series and were now up to the care invested in RCAs non-commercial efforts! Comparable top pressing quality on heavy vinyl packaged in glossy-artwork covers manufactured on strong laminated cardboard leaves absolutly nothing to be desired! There are no soundtrack-releases to be found, which could top these items!

Presumably quite expenive in its production process, this series again prooved not to be a commercial success and soon ended after having given birth to quite a couple very nice jazz/beat-efforts especially by Piero Piccioni and Armando Trovajoli. Also again, due to the low print-run of only 1000 copies/item, very hard to find stuff, but if found - then usually in perfect condition, since these items were manufactured to last not for decades but for centuries: virtually undestroyable deep groove pressings sheltered in virtually unbendable covers!
